KERRY LIED, PEOPLE CRIED. Several times in the campaign, John Kerry has used Mary Anne Knowles as a sympathy piece for his complaints about the health care system. He said "What does it mean when Mary Ann Knowles, a woman with breast cancer I met in New Hampshire, had to keep working day after day right through her chemotherapy, no matter how sick she felt, because she was terrified of losing her family's health insurance."

The fact is, she did not have to work through chemotherapy to avoid losing her health insurance. Her employer, Elderhostel, had health and disability benefits. M.A.T. had 26 weeks of disability with pay.

You can dry your eyes now.

By the way, over 40 percent of health care in America is paid for by you, the taxpayer.
