Hal Lindsey has quit the Trinity Broadcasting Network, saying that he has been “muzzled” in this criticism of Islam and Arab terrorism. Lindsey’s program is called the International Intelligence Briefing. He is not a trained intelligence officer. He is a religious writer and theologian. His main tact is to take events from the headlines and claim they are related to Bible prophecy.

This seemed to start when Jan Crouch suspended the show. Jan and Paul are TBN. Jan is the one with the outrageous wigs, heavy makeup and frequent tears. My favorite wig is the pink one. Anyway, I digress. Jan evidently felt that Hal’s constant criticism of Islam hampered their work in the Middle East. Their official statement is the show cast Arabs in a negative light. I don’t think I even need to add anything to that statement to get at least a smirk from you.

Ultimately, though, TBN is the Crouch's station and they can run it as they see fit. If their goal is to reach Arabs, having a show that criticizes them is indeed a hindrance.

Lindsey does not want to be censored, so he quit. He probably does not need the money. He sold 32 million copies of The Late Great Planet Earth back in the ‘70s.
