STILL MUCH WALKING TO BE DONE
I lost some things along the way.
Some I noticed, and missed.
Some just fell away and were gone.
I lost some things, yes,
But found myself: Older, wiser,
Hurt, but healed.
Sometimes I turned my head to look
As if I might see what I had dropped
But stumbled instead, losing precious time.
So now I look straight ahead,
Knowing what is lost is gone,
But there is still much walking to be done.
