HAVING FUN AT GOVERNMENT EXPENSE. Working for the government produces moments of hilarity. I sent my laptop computer to the I.T. department because it would not come on. The technician sent me an email to ask "what was wrong with your laptop"? I replied "it would not come on".

He replied "was there anything else"? (I'll pause here for a moment to let this all sink in.)

I replied "no, when it wouldn't come on, that pretty much ended it for me".

This is kind of like telling a story about the end of the world and having the ditzy person ask "and then what happened"?
