Tim Challies has a good book review of "Christ the Lord: The Road to Cana" by Anne Rice. A lot of the book is a fictional account of the childhood and youth of Jesus. Challies is charitable and says it is a "noble effort".

I think the less fiction the better when it comes to the life of Christ. The artistic license simply leads to confusion on doctrine and contradiction with the Bible story.

God thought the Gospel accounts were sufficient. So, they are. We do not need to add to them.

Let's teach what God said through the words of Jesus and the apostles. That should keep us busy until the silver cord is broken.
