I noticed a news headline about the snow in D.C.: "Snow shuts down federal government, life goes on." The first sentence of the article is even better: "If snow keeps 230,000 government employees home for the better part of a week, will anyone notice?" Later in the article it says, "So far, the effects have been negligible."
