A WORD TO THE WISE (IF SUCH EXISTS IN THE SBC)

Martyn Lloyd-Jones on schism: "It is division among people who are agreed about the essentials and the centralities, but who separate over secondary and less important matters."

The leaders of our convention would do well to heed the words of MLJ, cease looking within for wars to fight with their conservative Baptist brothers and sisters who embrace the truths of the Reformation and many of our early Baptist ancestors, and, instead, invest that energy and zeal in winning the lost, preaching the gospel and restoring our churches to believing, worshipping wholeness.
